A newly discovered Aberration of the Arachnotacean. What little is known about it is gathered from the precious few chance encounters with Bugsnak hunters. It seems to be able to manipulate, or perhaps even mind control, other Bugsnax. The organ that allows this exceptional ability is currently being researched, though hunters note the Umbral Arachnotacean scatters a black powder shortly before they're swarmed by frenzied Aberrated Bugsnax, so the powder is the gastreoentomologist's current topic of study for this otherworldly creature.

Discovery[]
After reaching Shelda's final quest, Shelda will drop her act for a second to specify that this is serious; she has noted that there's another Arachnotacean
in the vicinity, which is odd, as there is usually only one in the region at a time. Entering a central area, an Arachnotacean will be resting. When it notices you, the Arachnotacean begins to Aberrate before your eyes. After the process is finished, the Umbral Arachnotacean turns aggressive and the battle begins.
Behavior[]
The Umbral Arachnotacean is usually clambered onto a high ledge. When on this ledge, the titan scatters a black powder, and Grasping Gastromolts
and Sable Squabsters
will flood into the arena; when one is caught, another will appear. When knocked to the seafloor, the Umbral Arachnotacean uses the same claw swipe as the normal Arachnotacean.
Strategy[]
Use the Lunchpad to launch three Bugsnax at the Umbral Arachnotacean; when achieved, the Umbral Arachnotacean will be knocked off balance and land onto the seabed. Like the standard Arachnotacean, the Umbral Arachnotacean needs to have the Trip Shot fired as soone as it passes by to be tripped by it, and will destroy it if not. When tripped three times, the Snak will enter a final gambit. It will dash around the arena and its attacks are sped up by a double. It will no longer make use of its unique ability. One more trip can stun it for capture.
