Fungerus is a legendary bugsnax that can be found in Fanon Plant and is the final boss of the Bugsnax + Pikmin expansion.

Fungerus is a huge mushroom with legs split in half: one part is red and yellow, the other part is blue.
Strategy[]
To fight it, you must first destroy a gate on ruins near the end of the Fanon Plant clouds by charging the Onion to the maximum, which will cause you to shoot all your Pikibugs. After you destroy it, the Fungerus will be in there and at the beginning of the fight it will turn all your Pikibugs into Funger Pikibugs.
As soon as the fight starts, he will enter his first phase, which is to have his minions attack you while he stands in the center of the arena. After capturing all the pikibugs, you will be able to attack him, and after throwing your pikibugs at him with the fully charged Oipolla, he will go into the second phase.
In its second phase, the red half will invade part of the blue half and create chubby mushrooms at the edges of the arena where there are sticky roots around, which will slow you down but not the Funger Pikibugs. If you break the mushrooms, you can remove the sticky roots. To break the mushrooms, you have to throw three random pikibugs or a Heavy Pikibug at them. After breaking the a Mushrooms, it will secrete a gas that will turn the Pikibugs that broke it back into Funger Pikibugs. After destroying all the Mushrooms and recapturing all your Pikibugs, you can attack it again, and by attacking it you will move on to its last phase.
In its last stage, it will be the blue half that will take over and revive the mushrooms and sticky roots, only now they are blue. Now the roots will do you harm as they are poisonous. To destroy the mushrooms you must use three Poisonous Pikibugs, and after breaking them they will not return Funger Pikibugs since the mushrooms now secrete poison. After destroying the mushrooms one more time and taking back all your Pikibugs, you can attack him for the last time.
After attacking him for the last time, his halves will go crazy, joining, dividing and overlapping, so that one will blow up and land on the ground shrunken. Then you can pick it up in the Bug Net.
