I love this idea! It's like darkwing snak |
Tip: Turn on dark made to make the sticker not look horrible[]
Description[]
Flitterhush is a snak that appearsin a place that I don't know yet. There is a toxin stored in its wings and abdomen which is quite potent which it may cast upon you by flapping its wings and shaking loose some scales onto your face. Its effect varies based on which part of the day you are affected. If it was cast in the day (6am-9pm) you recieve a small debuff that makes you walk and react slower for half a minute. However if you were affected during the night (9pm-6am)[1] you will promptly fall asleep right there on the spot and wake up n hours later (8<n<12) on a random spot in the area.[2] If cast on bugsnax at night they will get stunned and sit montionless. Though possessing such a dangerous ability, the flitterhush does not use it unless in immeadiate danger and is generally peaceful, keeping to itself high up in the air.
Strategy[]
If you try to lunchpad+snaktrap it the trap will get laced with the toxin, so if you want to catch it at night, try to make it land in water.
Usages[]
- You can quickly quell an aggressive ground-dwelling snak at night by launching it at the poor flitter, although they usually put up a bit of a fight.
- Feeding a grumpus one has the same effect as you getting affected by the toxin
- Getting snakified with a flitterhush gives you a chance of sometime getting up later than you wanted to although this is more a debuff than a usage lol
Trivia[]
- This snak was made for Dovey Feb Challenge, prompt: Nocturnal
- This article was actually made in the middle of the night, which wouldn't be very good for your health
- The snak isn't actually nocturnal, but the toxin's main effect is, and you didn't really specify
- Not a lot of people know this but the monarch butterfly is poisonous and tart cherry juice makes you sleep better
- The monarch butterfly's toxin may cause weakness, fatigue, numbness and heart problems, which is kinda like sleeping?
- I didn't intend for the two venomous snax in this area to be flying but the monarch was the closest to a sleep-inducing bug that I could find
